Terms of Service
The agreement for creating, operating and paying for SyntheticSpaces.
EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 15, 2026
1. The service
SyntheticSpaces lets you create persistent AI environments (“Spaces”), create or save AI characters (“Entities”), upload supporting material and run time-bounded AI interactions. Features, providers and availability may evolve as the service improves.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and promptly notify us of unauthorized access. You must be at least 13 and legally able to accept these terms. If you are under 18, you may use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. The public service does not include adult-content features.
3. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you upload or submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, reproduce and transform that content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions required for every upload and instruction you provide. You are responsible for your Spaces, Entities, prompts and use of generated output.
4. AI-generated output
AI output may be fictional, incomplete, offensive or inaccurate. It is not professional, legal, medical, financial or safety advice. Verify important information and use appropriate human judgment. Output may not be unique, and other users may receive similar material.
5. Plans, credits and charges
Membership plans control product capacity. Runtime Credits fund metered generation and live sessions. Prices, included capacity and estimated charges are shown before purchase or runtime where applicable. Subscriptions renew until canceled. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable. Except where law requires otherwise, completed charges and consumed credits are final; contact support@syntheticspaces.ai about duplicate, erroneous or unauthorized charges.
6. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may restrict or suspend activity that threatens people, rights, the service or other customers. You may not evade safety, billing, access or rate controls.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to operate a dependable service, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, and will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes that affect paid service.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, legal risk, security threats, nonpayment or abuse. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers and liability limits—will survive.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SyntheticSpaces and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill or opportunities. Our aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid SyntheticSpaces during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify SyntheticSpaces from third-party claims arising from your content, your violation of these terms or your unlawful use of the service.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Oregon law, excluding conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Questions may be sent to support@syntheticspaces.ai.
